A note from the artist about this original oil painting: I painted this piece in honor of the Space Shuttle's last launch and final flight in 2011. In 2023, upon reflection, I decided to take the original and repaint the sky and the foreground reeds and grass, giving it a new look that more closely resembles my current style and, personally speaking, is a better representation of my skills as an artist. For that reason, the painting is unique in its history.

This painting includes painted edges and is gallery wrapped so that it can be hung as is without the need for a frame.
